Thank you for all your entries!
The competition was open to all students (local Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and independent schools within 5km of Burwood Village). We were inundated with entries – interestingly, all from secondary school age groups.
We will now have one piece permanently added to our wall mural. Our artist, BRONIK, will draw inspiration from our winning piece, and create the art in her studio. The piece will be adapted to the artistic style of our new mural, located near Overhear Coffee & Food.
CONGRATULATIONS TO SAYUREN PILLAY, from Ashwood High School, a Year 8 student in 2020. Sayuren enjoyed receiving his $200 cash prize. It was a pleasure to meet Sayuren and his family – his mum, Sherryl, his dad, Siven, and his brother, Saihen. Artistic credit including name, 2020 year level and school name, will be included under the new piece. Be sure to watch the space – Sayuren’s piece will come to life in the coming weeks!

Two additional art pieces will be permanently added to our wall mural. Our artist, BRONIK, will draw inspiration from two winning submissions selected by our judging panel, and create the pieces in her studio. The pieces will be adapted to the style of the mural, and installed by 31 January 2021.
One winner from local Primary School submissions, and one winner from local Secondary School submissions, will be selected based on talent and artistic merit. The 2 winners will each receive a $200 cash prize. Artistic credit including the inspirational artist’s name, 2020 year level and school name, will be included under each piece.
2 winners will be notified via phone and email on 8 January 2021.
GOOD LUCK everyone – we can’t wait to see your submissions!
