Father’s Day in Burwood Village – 5 x $100 voucher on us!

September 6, 2026 7:00 am

What does Dad actually want for Father’s Day?

It’s the question that usually gets an answer along the lines of “I don’t need anything” — which is both very Dad and not particularly helpful.

So this year, keep it simple. Whether his ideal Sunday involves a big breakfast, his latest hobby, a great dinner or finally doing something about that sore back he’s been complaining about, you’ll find plenty of ways to spoil him in Burwood Village.

And to make Father’s Day even better, we’re giving five people $100 to spend right here in the Village.

WIN one of five $100 Burwood Village vouchers

This Father’s Day, five lucky winners will each receive a $100 voucher to spend at a participating Burwood Village business.

To enter, head to our Instagram, find the Father’s Day competition post and:

  1. Tag the Burwood Village business where you or dad would spend your $100; and
  2. Tag a dad or father figure in your life.

Five winners. Five $100 vouchers. Plenty of ways to spend them around the Village.

Give him the morning off

If Dad is normally the first one awake on Sunday, Father’s Day is an excellent excuse to change the routine.

Grab a table at Santucci’s, Ivy Lane, The Rustic Table, Overhear Coffee & Food or Harvest Blend and let someone else take care of breakfast.

Whether Dad wants the works or just a good coffee and an hour to himself, starting the day around the table is a pretty good way to say thanks.

Buy him something he’ll actually enjoy

If you’re determined to give Dad something he can unwrap, there are two Village stores that should be high on the list.

Zinc is packed with gifts, homewares and interesting finds for the dad who is notoriously difficult to buy for.

Then there’s Hobbies Heaven — perfect for the dad whose latest hobby already occupies half the garage.

Either way, there’s a much better chance of finding something with personality than reaching for another pair of socks.

Give him the nudge he probably needs

Here’s a Father’s Day present Dad might not see coming: something that’s actually good for him.

Put $100 towards finally sorting out that shoulder, knee or back with On Track Physiotherapy. Has the television somehow been getting louder? Maybe it’s time for that hearing test at True Hearing Audiology. Or encourage Dad to book an eye test at EyeQ Optometrists — and perhaps upgrade the sunnies while he’s there.

Burwood Village is also home to a range of sports and remedial massage providers. A massage voucher might not be the most conventional Father’s Day present, but we’re willing to bet Dad won’t complain.

Make dinner Dad’s choice

There’s only one rule for Father’s Day dinner: Dad shouldn’t have to cook it.

Make a night of it at Prohibition Food & Wine, or take Dad around the world without leaving Toorak Road with Chinese at Dragon Phoenix, Korean barbecue at Mino Korean Charcoal BBQ, Japanese at Japanese Gourmet Kenji, or pizza at Il Birrificio Pizzeria.

Prefer the couch? Pick up Indian from G.O.A.T – Indian Fusion, pizza from Little Michael’s Pizzeria, or burgers and souvlaki from Souv & Burger Co.

Maybe the best gift is a day without a to-do list

Father’s Day doesn’t need an elaborate present or perfectly planned itinerary.

Take Dad for breakfast. Let him disappear into Hobbies Heaven. Find something unexpected at Zinc. Shout him a massage. Finally get his eyes or hearing checked. Order his favourite takeaway. Or simply spend a couple of hours together over dinner.

The dads and father figures in our lives spend a lot of time doing things for everyone else.

This Father’s Day, give him an excuse to do something for himself.

And if you happen to win one of our five $100 Burwood Village vouchers, even better.

Father’s Day is Sunday, 6 September 2026. Explore the Burwood Village Business Directory and discover even more ways to celebrate locally.

Good food. Great local businesses. One very happy Dad.
